HTTP proxy
HTTP proxy server
What anonymity levels of HTTP proxy servers exist
Transparent proxy - these proxies are not anonymous. They don't hide an IP-address of a client and let a web server know that you are surfing through a proxy server. The task of such proxies, as a rule, is information caching and/or support of Internet access for several computers via single connection. Such proxies are not applicable for security and privacy while surfing on net. You can use them only for network speed improvement.
Anonymous proxy - these proxies don't show your real IP but change the request fields so it is very easy to detect that you are using proxy.
High Anonymous proxy - these proxy servers do not pass an IP-address of a client and don't send any variables indicating that you are using proxy server to host and look like real browser.

How you can use HTTP proxy servers
HTTP proxies are the most widespread. Most browsers and web applications support HTTP proxy. You should set proxy settings for an HTTP protocol in your browser or web application so it works through HTTP proxy.
How to organize proxy chaining for an HTTP request
- one HTTP proxy
- [HTTPS and/or SOCKS proxies] -> HTTP proxy
Note:
- You can add as many HTTPS and SOCKS proxies as you want. But the more proxies you have in a proxy chain, the slower it is.
- You can't use an HTTP proxy at the beginning or in the middle of cascade (chain) before SOCKS and HTTPS as it doesn't support tunneling
In most cases you should use special proxy chaining software as browsers do not allow to create and use chains of proxy servers.
Also for an HTTP request you can use:
- CGI proxy alone
- HTTP proxy -> CGI proxy
- [HTTPS and/or SOCKS proxies] -> HTTP proxy -> CGI proxy
If you use CGI proxy in a chain, it should be the last one in the chain.
You must use HTTP proxy before a CGI proxy

Proxy Question
All the proxy software settings are OK but I cannot connect to the Internet. What do I do?
If your proxy software provide monitoring options, you can check your requests. Make sure that the proxies you are using are no bad or two slow. Check if you made the necessary configuration in the proxy settings for your web applicaiton. Make sure your application supports your proxy type. Check your Internet connection and make sure your ISP doesn't have any technical problems.
