What is Proxy Finder?
Proxy Finder searches for HTTP proxy lists, HTTPS proxy lists and SOCKS (SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, SOCKS5, SOCKS5 with Authentication) proxies lists on the Internet. You should specify proxy web site URL(s) where proxy lists are located and Proxy Finder will automatically find proxy servers information. Then proxy/proxies are added to the program proxy list. Also some proxy finders can check added proxies on fly or by your request. Usually proxies can be checked for proxy state, proxy speed, proxy location and proxy anonymity.

Why use proxies
A proxy server is a kind of buffer between your computer and the Internet. Proxies allow you to avoid visiting the requited Internet resources directly as you send and receive data via the proxy.
The most common use of proxies is to speed up web performance. Proxy servers store copies of web pages that are most often requested. And, when the user requests a webpage stored in the proxy server's cache, it is provided by the proxy server, which is faster than going to the web. Therefore, the proxy server can increase the speed of web performance.

Another common use of proxies is to provide Internet privacy. If the page is not in the proxy cache, the anonymous proxy server hides your IP address saving you from vulnerabilities concerned with it by forward the request to the end server using its own IP address. So you can safely surf the web and your information will never be used by hackers and spammers. Proxy servers also help improve security by filtering out some web content and malicious software.

Anonymous proxies can be used to bypass network restrictions and access websites which are blocked by administrator or ISP.
Another use of a proxy server is to filter requests. This is often used in schools or workplaces, where users are not allowed to visit certain web sites.
Why use anonymous proxies
Transparent proxies are not anonymous. They don't hide IP-address of a client and let a web server know that you are surfing through a proxy server. The proxies are mainly used for information caching or to support the Internet access for several computers via single connection. Such proxies are not applicable for security and privacy while surfing on net. You can use them only for network speed improvement.
Anonymous proxies don't show your real IP but change the request fields so it is very easy to detect that you are using proxy.
High Anonymous proxies do not pass an IP-address of a client and don't send any variables indicating that you are using proxy server to host and look like real browser.
Why use web proxies
Web proxies are web sites which allow a user to access other sites through them. A user visits a web proxy site and then requests a web page, a file or other resources available on other sites. The web proxy sends this request to the necessary site, gets "answer" and returns it to the user.Web proxies allow a user to be anonymous and access web sites that may be restricted for users from certain countries or geographical regions. Web proxies are frequently used to gain access to web sites blocked by corporate or school proxies. As well as hiding user's IP address and providing a way to access blocked web sites, a web proxy can also block scripts, cookies, images, etc. To start using web proxies you don't need to change settings of your browser or use any additional programs.
