ProxyWay Proxy Finder searches for HTTP proxy lists, HTTPS proxy lists and SOCKS (SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, SOCKS5, SOCKS5 with Authentication) proxies lists on the Internet. Just specify proxy web site URL(s) where proxy lists are located and Proxy Finder will automatically find proxy server information. Proxy/proxies are added to the program proxy list where they can be checked for proxy state, proxy speed, proxy location and proxy anonymity using ProxyWay Proxy Checker module.

Proxy Finder module main features:

Proxy List Customization.
How to:

add proxies to program proxy list
   - add proxies using Proxy Finder;
   - import proxies from a local file;
   - import CGI proxies from a local file;
   - add proxy manually;
   - add CGI proxy manually;
   - add a group of proxies in IP:port using copy/paste commands;

modify proxy server parameters;

duplicate proxy server(s);

delete proxy server(s) from the proxy list;

check proxy server(s) availability;

empty proxy list;

export proxies from proxy list;

Online proxy list update using Proxy Finder

Using the Update proxy list option, you can automatically add new proxies to your proxy list from the proxy lists in:
• the form of table - proxy list is formed as a table using special html tags;
• IP:port format (e.g. 155.255.111.22:80);
• "only IP" format (e.g. 155.255.111.22) - for proxy pages with the same port number for all proxies if port information isn't placed near each proxy IP (e.g. only on the top of the page). In this case, if no proxy port information was found while proxy list updating, added ability to set a default proxy port for certain url (in program Settings).

To update proxy list using Proxy Finder:

Double-click ProxyWay Pro desktop icon.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar .
Select Proxy => Proxy list => Update proxy list.
You can update proxy list using different urls/sites simultaneously.
Specify what url(s) you want to use for proxy list updating:
- import urls list from file
- add url(s) manually

Import urls list:
• To simplify proxy list updating, you can use our list of third-party proxy sites. Just click "Import" in "Update proxy list" window and select SiteList.txt.

Add url(s) for proxy list update manually:
• Click the "Add to List" button and specify what url you want to use for proxy list updating.

• Enter the full page url where the proxy list is located (ex. for www.proxy4free.com you should enter http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html or http://www.proxy4free.com/page2.html etc.)
• Enter IP column number, port column number (for proxy lists in the form of table).
Columns' numbers for proxy IP and port are usually as you see them. So for proxy4free.com IP column number - 1 and port column number - 2.
• If you want the url is used for proxy list Auto Update, put the check mark in "Use this url for proxy list update".
• To add information about proxy location, click "Add country column" and enter country column number.
• To add proxies only from certain countries, select the "Only Proxies from Specified Countries" option and select the necessary countries from the list. If you want to add all proxies, select the "Proxies from All Countries" option
• for proxy pages with the same port number for all proxies if port information isn't placed near each proxy IP (e.g. only on the top of the page) and if no proxy port information was found while proxy list updating, you can set a default proxy port for certain url.
• Click "Save" button.
Note: For proxy lists in IP:port format you don't have to worry about columns' numbers
If you don't have or don't need proxy port column or proxy IP column, you can set up column number to zero
You can set up the same column for proxy port and proxy IP (if necessary)

To save your proxy sites list, click "Export" button to export urls list to *.txt file (in special ProxyWay format).
Select url(s) you want to use for proxy list updating (PUT the check mark in U column). You can use "+" and "-" buttons to select/deselect all urls in the list
- to update proxy list immediately, click the Update button.
- for proxy list auto update (to update proxy list on a regular basis) you can use "Update proxy list" scheduler

Note: In trial version you can't add more than 100 proxies in the proxy list.
To use a proxy server in service, check it first. You can check proxies using internal or external script.
If Auto Check proxy option is on (Settings), all added proxies are checked automatically.
"Auto delete bad proxies after checking" option (in Settings window) allows you to delete all bad proxies just after proxies checking.

Import proxies form local file to proxy list

Using "Import proxies" feature, you can import proxies from a local file in IP:port format or HTML format in the form of table.
To import proxies to the proxy list:

Double-click ProxyWay Pro desktop icon.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar .
Select Proxy => Proxy list.
Click the Import button or right-click and select import in the context menu.

Note: For importing proxies from *.html files you should pre-select column numbers for IP, port and country in "Update proxy list" window.
Choose the file with proxies and click the "Open" button.

In trial version you can't add more than 100 proxies in the proxy list.

To use a proxy server in service, check it first. You can check proxies using internal or external script.
If Auto Check proxy option is on (Settings), all added proxies are checked automatically.
"Auto delete bad proxies after checking" option (in Settings window) allows you to delete all bad proxies just after proxies checking.

To add a new proxy server (manually):

Double-click ProxyWay Pro desktop icon.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar .
Select Proxy => Proxy list.
Use the Add button or right-click on the table and select add in the context menu.
Select "Standard proxy".
Fill in IP and Port fields.
Select proxy type.
If you don't know the proxy type, select the "UNKNOWN" field. In this case you need to check it before using in a proxy service.
In case you know the proxy type, select the supported type. You can use this proxy in a proxy service without the prior checking. But in this case the "Anonymity" field will be "unknown" (if you haven't checked it manually or automatically). If you check this proxy, all the supported protocols will be shown in the "Protocol" field with the selected proxy type on the first place (if it is supported).
Click OK.

To add a CGI proxy (web proxy) server manually:

Double-click ProxyWay Pro desktop icon.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar .
Select Proxy => Proxy list.
Use the Add button or right-click on the table and select add in the context menu.
Select "CGI proxy".
Enter CGI proxy url and other information (if necessary).
Click OK.

To add a group of proxies using copy/paste commands (from the proxy lists with the following format - ex. 1111.111.11.11:80 (should be one string with colon between IP and port) = IP:port):

Connect the web site with the proxy list.
Copy columns with proxy IP and Port.
Click ProxyWay Pro tray menu and select the Open main window item.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar .
Select Proxy => Proxy list.
Right-click on the table and select paste in the context menu.

To modify a proxy server *:

Double-click ProxyWay Pro desktop icon.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar .
Select Proxy => Proxy list.
Choose the proxy you want to modify and click the Modify button or right-click on the necessary proxy and select modify in the context menu.
Change the necessary item(s).
Click OK.

*You can't modify and delete proxies that are used in service(s).
If Auto Check proxy option is on (Settings), all modified proxies are checked automatically.

To duplicate a proxy server *:

Double-click ProxyWay Pro desktop icon.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar .
Select Proxy => Proxy list.
Choose the proxy/proxies you want to duplicate and click the Duplicate button or right-click on the necessary proxy and select duplicate in the context menu.
Click OK.

* This feature can be useful in a situation when a proxy supports different types (for example HTTP and HTTPS) and you want to use it with both types. Using "Duplicate" feature you just need to duplucate the proxy and select another supported type.

To delete a proxy server *:

Double-click ProxyWay Pro desktop icon.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar .
Select Proxy => Proxy list.
Choose the proxy/proxies** you want to delete and click the Delete button or right-click on the proxy and select delete in the context menu.
Click Yes if you really want to delete the proxy/proxies.

*You can't modify and delete proxies that are used in services.
**To select a group of proxies click and hold down Ctrl or Shift button and choose the proxies.
Note: Auto delete bad proxies on startup option ( Settings) allows delete all bad proxies on start up automatically.

To check a proxy server:

Choose the proxy/proxies* you want to check and click the Check button or right-click on the proxy and select check in the context menu.
* To select a group of proxies, click and hold down Ctrl or Shift button and choose the proxies.
You can check proxies using internal or external script.
You can check up to 5 threads at once using "Multithreaded proxy check" in the program Settings.
To reduce the time of proxy checking, you can select only the necessary types of protocols and set the timeout for proxy checking in milliseconds in the program Settings.

If Auto Check proxy option is on (Settings), all added proxies are checked automatically.
"Auto delete bad proxies after checking" option (in Settings window) allows you to delete all bad proxies just after proxies checking.

ProxyWay Pro offers two options for proxy checking* (Settings):
• "Don't detect proxy location" - check proxies without detecting proxy location.
• "Detect proxy country" - check proxies with detecting proxy country (set by default)
* Detecting proxy country is only available in Activated version.
Note: "detecting proxy country" while proxy checking and "adding proxy country column" while proxy list updating are different independent features. So, to add information about proxy location you should select "Add proxy column" in "Update proxy list" window. But if you need more accurate proxy location information, we recommend you to use "Detect proxy country location" feature as most sites that provide proxy lists don't use up-to-date base for detecting proxy location.

Empty proxy list *

If you want to remove all proxies from the proxy list:

Click the Empty button or right-click in any point of proxy list and select empty.
If you really want to empty the proxy list, select Yes in the warning window.

*You can't modify and delete proxies that are used in services.

Export proxies from proxy list

Using "Export proxies" feature, you can export selected proxies from the proxy list to *.txt and *.html files - you can create custom proxy list selecting the fields you need and export it to *.txt or *.html format.
To export proxies from the proxy list:

Double-click ProxyWay Pro desktop icon.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar .
Select Proxy => Proxy list.
Choose the proxy/proxies you want to export and click the Export button or right-click on the selected proxies and select export in the context menu.
Choose what proxy list fields you want to export - select field(s) from the "All available fields" list and add them to the "Exported fields" list using "Add" button. If you put the check mark next to the "IP:Port format" field, proxy IP and proxy port will be exported in IP:port format. Note: you can also export other fields (with a chosen fields separator).
Choose fields separator.
Click the "Export" button.
Save proxies in *.txt or *.html files.

To turn on proxy settings:
1. Select Tools => Options.
2. Select General.
3. In the "Connections" area click the "Connection Settings" button.
4. Select the Manual Proxy Configuration radio button.
5. In fields "Address" and "port" type proxy IP and proxy port.
6. Click OK.

To turn off proxy settings:
1. Select Tools => Options.
2. Select General.
3. In the "Connections" area click the "Connection Settings" button.
4. Select the Direct Connection to the Internet.
