To clear My Recent Documents folder (delete recent documents) for XP Start Menu:
• Right-click 'Start' button and select "Properties".
• Select 'Start menu' tab.
• Click 'Customize'.
• Click 'Advanced' tab.
• To clear recent documents, open/save MRU list and visited urls, click 'Clear' button.
• Click OK.
To clear My Recent Documents folder (delete recent documents) for For Classic Start Menu:
• Right-click 'Start' button and select "Properties".
• Select 'Start menu' tab.
• Click 'Customize'.
• To clear recent documents, open/save MRU list and visited urls, click 'Clear' button.
• Click OK.
Note: Your most recently used documents are removed from 'My Recent Documents' folder but it doesn't delete recent documents from your hard disk.
