Anonymous proxy surfing software — Allows you to hide or change your real IP from the web sites you visit. Using ProxyWay Extra you can create proxy services with any number of proxy servers in the chain (supports HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5) to provide IP address security and tunnel Internet activity through proxy servers.
Proxy Finder — ProxyWay Extra allows you to search proxy lists on the Internet. You only need to specify URL(s) where proxy lists are located and ProxyWay Extra will automatically find proxy information. Proxy servers are added to the program proxy list where they can be checked for state, speed, and anonymity using proxy list checker module. ProxyWay Extra "Update proxy list scheduler" lets you set the program to search, add new proxies to the proxy list and check them automatically - just set when and how often you want to run proxy list auto update.

Choose the proxy servers you want to check and just click the Check button. Changing "Referrer field" hides your previously viewed web pages from the web sites you visit and other outside parties. In "Change Referrer field" area, you can select the necessary info from the combo box - Field blocked by ProxyWay Extra or Empty Referrer field. If you don't want your referrer field is changed, select "Don't change referrer field" from the combo box. If you want to enter your own referrer field information, you can select "Custom Referrer field" option and enter necessary information.
History clearing — Protects your Internet and computer activity from other people monitoring by removing the following traces: remove traces of computer and Internet activity (delete Temporary Internet files, clear Internet history, delete cookies, clear Clipboard, clear Recent Documents)
Ads&Popup blocking

Can I use ProxyWay proxy software if I connect to the Internet through LAN proxy server?
Yes. If you want to surf thru ProxyWay => your local proxy, it could be several situations:
• If your proxy server supports NAT (Network Address Translation), you should set up Default Gateway in your network card properties (You should use the IP of your local proxy server as default gateway).
In ProxyWay:
Select Proxy => Connections
Select the browser you are using and click the "Enable redirect service" button.
Note: You don't need to set up tunneling for checking and updating.
• If your proxy server doesn't support NAT but supports HTTPS or SOCKS you need:
add your local proxy server to the proxy list manually;
check it;
click the "Modify" button and select HTTPS or SOCKS protocol type (You can't select HTTP
as it doesn't support tunneling);
select Proxy => Settings and select "Use proxy tunnel for proxy checking and proxy list updating";
enter IP of the computer that is used as a local proxy server, select the necessary protocol type and enter the proper port number;
You need to add your local proxy server in all proxy services on the first position.
• If your local proxy server doesn't support HTTPS, SOCKS you can't use a bundle of ProxyWay and your local proxy. But you can use only ProxyWay for your PC (if you have direct connection to the Internet(router)) or ProxyWay instead of your local proxy server.
We also recommend you to see ProxyWay Log Viewer. Using Log Viewer, you can track and monitor ProxyWay activities that occur while you are surfing the Internet. In logs you can see all requests and determine if you are surfing through proxies or not.
Can I use ProxyWay proxy software with wireless connection?
Yes, you can use our proxy software with wireless connection. There are no special settings for wireless.
If you use IE, you need to set up proxy settings for your LAN connection. If you use Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, etc, you should set up proxy settings in the "Connection settings" window.
How do I configure my browser to work thru ProxyWay proxy software?
ProxyWay proxy software supports a wide variety of web applications and most types of Internet protocols allowing users to surf the web. Furthermore, ProxyWay can be used as a simple Internet gateway.
Before using proxy software, you will need to modify a few configuration entries in your browser/application.

My application doesn't have proxy settings. How can I configure it to work through ProxyWay proxy software?
If your application doesn't have proxy settings, you need special software to configure your application to work through ProxyWay proxy software. You can use freeware called SocksCap.
How configure application to work through ProxyWay proxy software:
Download SocksCap free of charge.
Run SocksCap.
Select File -> Settings in SocksCap menu.
Enter 127.0.0.1 in the "SOCKS Server" and 81 in "Port" field.
Select SOCKS Version 4 or SOCKS Version 5 depending on the type of service you created in ProxyWay proxy software.
Click OK.
Now you should add your application to SocksCap (create application profile):
Select File -> New in the SocksCap menu and using "Browse" button select your application
or simply click and drag your application shortcut icon into the SocksCap window and select "New application profile" (the profile name and working directory will be filled in automatically) and click "OK".
Now you should run your application from SocksCap and it will work through ProxyWay proxy software.
