ProxyWay Proxy Finder searches for HTTP proxy lists, HTTPS proxy lists and SOCKS (SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, SOCKS5, SOCKS5 with Authentication) proxies lists on the Internet. Just specify proxy web site URL(s) where proxy lists are located and Proxy Finder will automatically find proxy server information. Proxy/proxies are added to the program proxy list where they can be checked for proxy state, proxy speed, proxy location and proxy anonymity using ProxyWay Proxy Checker module.

How to download proxies list using ProxyWay
1. Select Proxy -> Proxy list -> Proxy Finder.
2. Specify what url(s) you want to use for proxy list download:
- you can use list of third-party proxies sites - just click 'Import' button window and select SiteList.txt
- or add url(s) manually
3. Select url(s) you want to use for proxies list download
4. To download proxies list immediately, click Update button.
For proxies list auto update you can use 'Update proxy list' scheduler
How to download proxies only from certain countries
Using Proxy Way you can download proxies only from certain countries.
1. Select Proxy -> Proxy list -> Proxy finder.
2. Click "Add to List" button and enter url(s) you want to use for proxies download
• If you want to download proxies list with proxy location information, click "Add country column" and enter country column number.
• To download proxies only from certain countries, select the "Only Proxies from Specified Countries" option and select the necessary countries from the list. If you want download all proxies, select the "Proxies from All Countries" option
3. Select url(s) you want to use for proxies list download
4. To download proxy list immediately, click Update button.
To download proxies on a regular basis, use 'Update proxy list' scheduler
How to download proxies list automatically
To download proxies automatically:
1. Select Proxy -> Settings -> Proxy list scheduler
2. In 'Run proxy list update' area turn the Scheduler on. By default, Proxy list update Scheduler is off.
3. Set when and how often you want to run proxies list auto update.
4. Click the 'Apply' button.
How to import proxies from file
To import proxies:
Open ProxyWay main window.
Select Proxy -> Proxy list.
Click the Import button.
Select column numbers for proxy IP, proxy port and country (if necessary).
Choose file you want to import and click 'Open' button.

What are proxies?
A proxy server is a kind of buffer between your computer and the Internet resource(s) you are accessing. The data you request come to the proxy first, and only then it transmits the data to you. A proxy server receives a request for an Internet service (such as a web page request) from a user. If the proxy server is also a cache server, it can use its local cache of previously downloaded web pages to provide the page without forwarding the request to the Internet. If the page is not in the cache, the proxy server uses one of its own IP addresses to request the page from the server on the Internet. When the page is returned, the proxy server relates it to the original request and forwards it to the user.
Why you should use proxies
Speed improvement: Proxies accumulate and save files that are most often requested by thousands of Internet users in a special database, called cache. Therefore, proxies are able to increase the speed of your connection to the Internet. The cache of a proxy server may already contain information you need by the time of your request, making it possible for the proxy to deliver it immediately.
Security and privacy. Anonymous proxies hide your IP address saving you from vulnerabilities concerned with it. So you can safely surf the web and your information will never be used by hackers and spammers.
Sometimes you may encounter problems while accessing to web server when server administrator restricted access from your IP or even from wide IP range (for example restricting access from certain countries or geographical regions). You can try to access those pages using an anonymous proxy server.
HTTP proxies
HTTP proxies are proxies allowing working on the Internet with HTTP and (not always) FTP protocols. HTTP proxies can carry out caching of information downloaded from the Internet. HTTP proxies have several anonymity levels: high anonymous proxies, anonymous proxies, non-anonymous proxies (transparent)
What anonymity levels of HTTP proxies exist?
Transparent proxies - these proxies are not anonymous. Transparent proxies don't hide IP-address of a client and let a web server know that you are surfing through a proxy server. The task of such proxies, as a rule, is information caching and/or support of Internet access for several computers via single connection. Such proxies are not applicable for security and privacy while surfing on net. You can use them only for network speed improvement.
Anonymous proxies - these proxies change the request fields so it is very easy to detect that you are using proxy but they don't show the original IP address.
High Anonymous proxies (Elite proxies) - these proxies do not pass an IP-address of a client and don't send any variables indicating that you are using proxies to host and look like real browser.
What are SOCKS proxies?
Socks proxies simply transfer data from a client to a server, not penetrating into this data contents. SOCKS proxies give absolutely no indication they are proxies.
As SOCKS proxies transfer data between computers without changes, it allows creating SOCKS proxies chains. However, you should use special software to create SOCKS proxies chains. ProxyWay lets you easily create SOCKS proxies chains and switch them on fly.
How to use proxies
To hide IP address with proxies, you need to find an anonymous or high anonymous proxies and set your browser/application proxy settings.
