What do I do to download free proxy lists from different proxy web sites simultaneously?
Using ProxyWay Extra you can easily download proxy lists (HTTP proxy lists, HTTPS proxy lists, SOCKS, SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, SOCKS5, SOCKS5 with Authentication proxy servers lists) from different proxy web sites.
You can set the program to download proxies lists from different proxy sites simultaneously - just put the check mark in "Use this url for proxy list update" column, for urls used you want to use for proxy list Auto Update.
Using the Update proxy list option, you can automatically add new proxies to your proxy list from the proxy lists in:
• the form of table - proxy list is formed as a table using special html tags;
• IP:port format (e.g. 155.255.111.22:80);
• "only IP" format (e.g. 155.255.111.22) - for proxy pages with the same port number for all proxies if port information isn't placed near each proxy IP (e.g. only on the top of the page). In this case, if no proxy port information was found while proxy list updating, added ability to set a default proxy port for certain url (in program Settings).
To update proxy list using Proxy Finder:
Double-click the ProxyWay Extra tray icon or right-click the ProxyWay Extra tray icon and select the Open main window item.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar.
Select Proxy => Proxy list => Update proxy list.
You can update proxy list using different proxy websites simultaneously.
Specify what proxy website url(s) you want to use for proxy list updating:
- import proxy websites urls list from file
- add proxy websites url(s) manually
Import proxy websites urls list:
• To simplify proxy list updating, you can use our list of third-party proxy websites. Just click "Import" in "Update proxy list" window and select SiteList.txt.
Add proxy web sites url(s) for proxy list update manually:
• Click the "Add to List" button and specify what proxy website url you want to use for proxy list updating.
• Enter the full page url where the proxy list is located (ex. for www.proxy4free.com you should enter http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html or http://www.proxy4free.com/page2.html etc.)
• Enter IP column number, port column number (for proxy lists in the form of table).
Columns' numbers for proxy IP and port are usually as you see them. So for proxy4free.com IP column number - 1 and port column number - 2.
• If you want the proxy website url is used for proxy list Auto Update, put the check mark in "Use this url for proxy list update".
• To add information about proxy location, click "Add country column" and enter country column number.
• To add proxies only from certain countries, select the "Only Proxies from Specified Countries" option and select the necessary countries from the list. If you want to add all proxies, select the "Proxies from All Countries" option
• for proxy pages with the same port number for all proxies if port information isn't placed near each proxy IP (e.g. only on the top of the page) and if no proxy port information was found while proxy list updating, you can set a default proxy port for certain url.
• Click "Save" button.
Note: For proxy lists in IP:port format you don't have to worry about columns' numbers
If you don't have or don't need proxy port column or proxy IP column, you can set up column number to zero
You can set up the same column for proxy port and proxy IP (if necessary)
To save your proxy web sites list, click "Export" button to export urls list to *.txt file (in special ProxyWay format).
Select proxy websites url(s) you want to use for proxy list updating (PUT the check mark in U column). You can use "+" and "-" buttons to select/deselect all proxy websites urls in the list
- to update proxy list immediately, click the Update button.
- for proxy list auto update (to update proxy list on a regular basis) you can use "Update proxy list" scheduler
Note: In trial version you can't add more than 100 proxies in the proxy list.

Using Proxy list update settings you can turn Update Proxy list Scheduler on/off to enable/disable adding new proxies to the proxy list automatically.
To enable Proxy List Auto Update:
Click the ProxyWay Extra tray menu and select the Open main window item.
Click the Proxy button in the toolbar.
Select Proxy => Settings => Proxy list scheduler
In "Run proxy list update" area turn the Scheduler*.
Set when and how often you want to run proxy list auto update.
Click the Apply button.

If no proxy port information was found while proxy list updating, added ability to set a default proxy port for certain url (in program Settings).
ProxyWay finds information about proxy country even if proxy list contains information about proxy IP and port in the same column.

A proxy server is a kind of buffer between your computer and the Internet resource(s) you are accessing. The data you request come to the proxy first, and only then it transmits the data to you. A proxy server receives a request for an Internet service (such as a web page request) from a user. If the proxy server is also a cache server, it can use its local cache of previously downloaded web pages to provide the page without forwarding the request to the Internet. If the page is not in the cache, the proxy server uses one of its own IP addresses to request the page from the server on the Internet. When the page is returned, the proxy server relates it to the original request and forwards it to the user.

What anonymity levels of HTTP proxy servers exist?
- Transparent proxy - these proxies are not anonymous. They don't hide IP-address of a client and let a web server know that you are surfing through a proxy server. The task of such proxies, as a rule, is information caching and/or support of Internet access for several computers via single connection. Such proxies are not applicable for security and privacy while surfing on net. You can use them only for network speed improvement.
- Anonymous - these proxies don't show your real IP but change the request fields so it is very easy to detect that you are using proxy.
- High Anonymous - these proxy servers do not pass an IP-address of a client and don't send any variables indicating that you are using proxy server to host and look like real browser.

Why should I use proxy servers?
Speed improvement: Proxy servers accumulate and save files that are most often requested by thousands of Internet users in a special database, called cache. Therefore, proxy servers are able to increase the speed of your connection to the Internet. The cache of a proxy server may already contain information you need by the time of your request, making it possible for the proxy to deliver it immediately.
Security and privacy. Anonymous proxy servers hide your IP address saving you from vulnerabilities concerned with it. So you can safely surf the web and your information will never be used by hackers and spammers.
Sometimes you may encounter problems while accessing to web server when server administrator restricted access from your IP or even from wide IP range (for example restricting access from certain countries or geographical regions). You can try to access those pages using an anonymous proxy server.

What is HTTP proxy server?
HTTP proxy server is a proxy allowing to work on the Internet with HTTP and (not always) FTP protocols. It can carry out caching of information downloaded from the Internet.
Now HTTP proxy servers are the most widespread. Their support (ability to use them) is included into many programs: browsers, download managers etc. However, their support is not realized at a level of an operating system – in order to use them, you should configure all programs, which should use proxies, in an appropriate way.

What is SOCKS proxy server?
SOCKS is a networking proxy protocol that enables hosts on one side of a SOCKS server to gain full access to hosts on the other side of the SOCKS server without requiring direct IP-reachability. SOCKS is often used as a network firewall, redirecting connection requests from hosts on opposite sides of a SOCKS server. The SOCKS server authenticates and authorizes requests, establishes a proxy connection, and relays data between hosts.
There are two major versions of SOCKS proxy servers: SOCKSv4 and

You can update proxy list using different urls/sites (proxy sites) simultaneously.
- Click the "Add to List" button.
- In the "Add/Modify Url" window specify what url you want to use for proxy list updating.
• Enter the full page url of proxy sites where the proxy list is located (ex. for www.proxy4free.com you should enter http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html or http://www.proxy4free.com/page2.html etc.)
• Enter IP column number, port column number (for proxy lists in the form of table).
Columns' numbers for proxy IP and port are usually as you see them. So for proxy4free.com IP column number - 1 and port column number - 2.
Note: For proxy lists in IP:port format you don't have to worry about columns' numbers.
• If you want this proxy site url is used for proxy list Auto Update, put the check mark in "Use this url for proxy list update".
• If you want to add information about proxy location, click "Add country column" and enter country column number.
• Click "Save" button.
You can also update proxy list from a local file in ip:port format or HTML format in the form of table
using "Import proxies" feature.
- To update proxy list immediately, select proxy sites url(s) you want to use for proxy list updating (PUT the check mark in U column) and click the Update button.
You can use "+" and "-" buttons to select/deselect all proxy sites urls in the list.
For auto update (Scheduler):
- Select proxy sites url(s) you want to use for proxy list updating (PUT the check mark in U column) and click the Update button. You can use "+" and "-" buttons to select/deselect all urls in the list.
- Select Proxy => Settings => Proxy list update settings.
- Turn the Scheduler on*.
- Set when and how often you want to run Auto update.
- Click the Apply button.
* By default, proxy list update scheduler is off.
You can't add more than 100 proxies in the proxy list.
To use a proxy server in service, check it first. You can check proxies using internal or external script.
If Auto Check proxy option is on (Settings), all (manually added proxies) are checked automatically.
Import proxiy servers to proxy list from a local file
Using "Import proxies" feature, you can import proxy servers from a local file in ip:port format or HTML format in the the form of table.
For importing proxy servers from a local file in table format you can select column numbers for IP, port and country in "Update proxy list" window
