ProxyWay Proxy Finder searches for HTTP proxy lists, HTTPS proxy lists and SOCKS (SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, SOCKS5, SOCKS5 with Authentication) proxies lists on the Internet. Just specify proxy web site URL(s) where proxy lists are located and Proxy Finder will automatically find proxy server information.  Use proxy tunnel for proxy checking and proxy list updating - use this option if ProxyWay is installed on your computer but your computer doesn't have direct access to Internet. Enter IP and port number of the computer that is used as a gateway. Software that is installed on the computer used as gateway must support tunneling.
Proxy checking settings - using this option you can select if you want to check proxies using:
- internal script (selected by default)
- external script
If your connection to ProxyWay.com web site is slow or access to ProxyWay.com is blocked by your ISP, you can use your own (external) script for proxy checking.
• HTTP Proxy checking settings
You can download simple proxy checking CGI script (written on Perl) from ProxyWay.com web site. To start using ProxyWay external proxy checking CGI script, see detailed instructions on download page.
In the "Script Url" field enter full path to the script (e.g. http://www.yoursite.com/cgi-bin/proxychecker.pl). If you place the script on your server, you can restrict access to the script by Basic Authentication. In this case, put the check mark in "Basic Authentication" field and enter Login and Password.
