Do you know ...
... Your computer tracks everything you are doing while using the computer or surfing the Internet
... Your online and offline activities are not private as surfing tracks, cache, downloaded files and some identifying data is stored on your computer.
... Some tracks of computer and Internet activity can't be removed manually without special tracks eraser software.
If you don't protect your information, your surfing habits and private information could be tracked and stolen. You may compromise your privacy and even become a victim of identify theft.
Privacy eraser software will keep your private information by deleting information that is collected on your computer while surf the web: a history of the web sites you have visited, images and movies you have seen, files you downloaded, documents and files you have just opened, cookies that web sites store on your computer, emails, passwords and user IDs you use to access various accounts over the web, your credit card number and other confidential information.
Shredder option helps you completely delete history tracks and previously deleted files without recovery

While proxy checking some proxies take too much time for checking and after that they are marked as bad
I've created a proxy service and started it. My logs show that I'm surfing through ProxyWay but IP test shows my real IP
In program Advanced settings there is a section for checking proxies with a secure tunnel. What is a tunnel?
I installed ProxyWay on the PC which is a part of a network (LAN) that uses a local proxy server or/and a router to access to the Internet. But I know that the local proxy server/router has an IP address and this address is visible to the world. How can I hide this IP address?

I downloaded and installed ProxyWay. However IP test shows my real IP. What do I do to hide my IP?
After you install ProxyWay you should use ProxyWay Auto Configuration or configure ProxyWay manually.
We recommend you to see ProxyWay Log Viewer. Using ProxyWay Log Viewer, you can detect if you surf:
- through ProxyWay using proxies
- through ProxyWay but without proxies
- not through ProxyWay

How do I select the proxy that I want to use from the list of proxies? I want to be able to change the proxy manually
If you use ProxyWay Auto Configuration, ProxyWay creates services with random proxies (by default). But you can create your own service with proxies you want or modify existing service (change random proxy to proxy you need).
1. Run ProxyWay Auto Configuration.
2. Select Proxy -> Service Manager.
3. Select your default HTTP service and stop it.

4. Click Modify button.
5. Select random proxy and click 'Remove proxies' button.
6. Click 'Add proxies from proxy list' button.
Tips: Proxy Filter helps you easily select proxies according to their anonymity, protocol, country, IP mask, port and response time

|
Note:
- You cannot use HTTP proxy at the beginning or in the middle of proxy chain as it doesn't support tunneling.
- Make sure the type of the last proxy in cascade is the same with the service protocol type. For more information see proxy chain rules.
- If the last proxy in your chain is 'Random', ProxyWay will select proxy with the same protocol type as your service has.
- To hide your IP you should use anonymous and high anonymous proxies.
- You can add as many proxies as you want. But the more proxies you have in service, the slower it is.
|
|
7. Select service protocol type.
|
Note:
- Service protocol type must be the same as the type of the last proxy in cascade.
- If the last proxy in your chain is 'Random', ProxyWay will select proxy with the same protocol type as your service has.
|
|
8. Click OK.

While surfing through ProxyWay I sometimes get the "Access denied" message or I'm directed to another site?
Some proxies can be blocked by certain sites or the proxy you are using supports requests to the site you are directed only.
We recommend you to change proxy you are surfing through. If you use ProxyWay Auto Configuration, ProxyWay creates services with random proxies. You can simply change random proxies by clicking on Proxy On/Proxy Off button or you can easily change proxies per time or per request using 'Change service per time/per request' option in program Default Service Settings.

When I visit some web sites, I can't see pictures on these sites, although other sites are OK.
Most likely proxy you are using doesn't allow to view some or all pictures. We recommend you to change proxy you using. To change random proxies, you should click on Proxy On/Proxy Off button or you can easily change proxies per time or per request using 'Change service per time/per request' option in program Default Service Settings.

I installed ProxyWay on the PC that is directly connected to the Internet. Can other computers in my LAN surf anonymously using ProxyWay?
Yes, this feature is available in ProxyWay Extra. If you want anybody else (from another PC) is able to surf through ProxyWay Extra installed on your PC, you need to:
Remove check mark from the "Accept only local requests" in ProxyWay Extra Settings.
You should set IP of your computer, port 81 in browser proxy settings on other PCs.
Attention: If you want to use ProxyWay Extra as an Internet gate, you are recommended to use firewall to limit access to your computer only for your LAN PCs.

Some proxies are added to ProxyWay proxy list without country information however there is this information on the site. Also I can't find some countries in the country list under "Only Proxies from Specified Countries" option for proxy list updating.
Make sure you entered correct column number for country.
There are a lot of sites that provide proxy lists, some of them contain information about proxies country location, but those who provide proxy country location information don't use the same standard for countries names (e.g. some sites use 'United Kingdom' but others use 'Great Britain', etc.). So we created a countries list (country.dat file) with different countries names which sites with proxy lists use to show proxy servers country location. Country.dat is a list of full country name and corresponding short country name that ProxyWay Extra uses while proxy list updating. If you can't find some countries in the country list under "Only Proxies from Specified Countries" option for proxy list updating or some proxies are added to ProxyWay Extra proxy list without country information, let us know and we'll include new country information in country.dat file.
If you have ProxyWay Extra, don't worry about proxy country information. You can easily check proxy location using the program (not available in trial version).
If you think ProxyWay doesn't recognize proxy list format, please send us full page url.

While proxy checking some proxies take too much time for checking and after that they are marked as bad
In program Settings you can decrease timeout for proxy checking. Also you can select only some types of protocols (not all) for checking. It will reduce the time for proxy checking.
Top
I've created a proxy service and started it. My logs show that I'm surfing through ProxyWay Extra but IP test shows my real IP.
In logs you can see if all requests go through proxies or directly through ProxyWay (without proxies).
Make sure you marked service as default.
To hide your IP address you have to use anonymous or high anonymous proxy/proxies in your service.

In program Advanced settings there is a section for checking proxies with a secure tunnel. What is a tunnel?
"Use proxy tunnel for proxy checking and proxy list updating" option is usually used if ProxyWay is installed on the computer that doesn't have a direct access to the Internet and your software/hardware gateway doesn't support NAT. In this case you need to enter IP and port number of the computer that is used as a gateway. Software on the computer that is used as a gateway must support tunneling. If you have any problems with proxies checking, we recommend you to turn this option off and try again.

I installed ProxyWay on the PC which is a part of a network (LAN) that uses a local proxy server or/and a router to access to the Internet. But I know that the local proxy server/router has an IP address and this address is visible to the world. How can I hide this IP address?
If you want to surf thru ProxyWay => your local proxy, it could be several situations:
If your proxy server supports NAT (Network Address Translation), you should set up Default Gateway in your network card properties (You should use the IP of your local proxy server as default gateway).
In ProxyWay:
Select Proxy => Connections
Select the browser you are using and click the "Set ProxyWay settings" button.
Note: You don't need to set up tunneling for checking and updating.
If your proxy server doesn't support NAT but supports HTTPS or SOCKS you need:
add your local proxy server to the proxy list manually;
check it;
click the "Modify" button and select HTTPS or SOCKS protocol type (You can't select HTTP
as it doesn't support tunneling);
select Proxy => Settings and select "Use proxy tunnel for proxy checking and proxy list updating";
enter IP of the computer that is used as a local proxy server, select the necessary protocol type and enter the proper port number;
You need to add your local proxy server in all proxy services on the first position.
If your local proxy server doesn't support HTTPS, SOCKS you can't use
a bundle of ProxyWay and your local proxy. But you can use only
ProxyWay for your PC (if you have direct connection to the
Internet(router)) or ProxyWay instead of your local proxy server.
We also recommend you to see ProxyWay Log Viewer.
Using ProxyWay Log Viewer, you can track and monitor ProxyWay activities that occur
while you are surfing the Internet. In logs you can see all requests and determine
if you are surfing through proxies or not.
