ProxyWay Proxy Finder searches for HTTP proxy lists, HTTPS proxy lists and SOCKS (SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, SOCKS5, SOCKS5 with Authentication) proxies lists on the Internet. Just specify proxy web site URL(s) where proxy lists are located and Proxy Finder will automatically find proxy server information. Proxy/proxies are added to the program proxy list where they can be checked for proxy state, proxy speed, proxy location and proxy anonymity using ProxyWay Proxy Checker module.

Logs
Using ProxyWay Extra Log Viewer, you can track and monitor ProxyWay Extra activity that occurs while you are surfing the Internet through the program.
type - event type (request log, error log, update log, check log)
date - event date and time
description - detailed event description

Note: Only logs that are marked to be recorded in the Logs settings, will be saved in the Logs viewer.
To specify what events will be logged as well as maximum number of logs, open Logs settings window and make necessary configuration settings.

ProxyWay Extra records and stores the following kinds of events:
Request log (green background color) - ProxyWay records logs from any applications that works through it
Error log (orange background color) - contains detailed information about errors occurred while you surf the Internet, check proxy list, etc. Update log (yellow background color) - updates proxy list logs;
Check log (yellow background color) - history of proxies/proxy services checking;
Logs Viewer service starts automatically when you run ProxyWay Extra.
Logs monitoring
To monitor/filter events recorded in Logs Viewer:
Select Proxy -> Logs.
Open Logs Viewer.
Specify the logs you want to review (put the checkmark next to the log type you want to review).

Note:
- Filtering Logs affects only what is displayed, not what is logged.
- If you use ProxyWay Extra as a gateway in your LAN, to see External requests logs, select External requests from the Show combo box.
- If you use ProxyWay Extra for the computer it is installed, select Local requests from the Show combo box.

Clear logs
You can remove all logs at once or remove only certain logs category using the Clear button.
Open Logs Viewer.
Select logs you want to clear from the combo box next to Clear button.
Click Clear button.
Also you can use Clear logs on exit option.
Refreshing logs
If you want to stop logs output while you are using Logs viewer, remove the check mark from Output checkbox to turn the Output off. While you are viewing logs, the information is not updated unless you refresh it. To monitor the events occurring since you began viewing the Logs Viewer, you can turn the Output option on or click Refresh button.
Refresh button gives you a single logs refresh.
If the Output option is on, Logs table is automatically refreshed in online environment with each occurs event according the event filters (Request log, Error log, Update log, Check log) you have chosen.
Logs number limitation
The number of logs that can be stored at once is limited in Logs settings.
When logs number reaches the maximum number allowed in the Logs settings, new events/entries overwrite the oldest events.
By default, the maximum logs number is 50000. Minimum logs number is not less than 100 logs.
Events/Logs classification:
Request log - ProxyWay records logs from any applications that works through it include details about
- the date and time of the request;
- request target - the site url you visited/accept (ex. target: http://www.yoursite.com);
- service name , protocol type and port number the service has on the computer running ProxyWay Extra(ex. service: service1 (HTTP:12345));
- target path - the chain of proxies you go through to reach the target
=> points the proxy IP (1111.11.11.1111:80 = proxy IP: port number the proxy is using)
=>points to the target IP
Error log - contains detailed information about errors occurred Internet surfing, checking proxies, etc. including the date and time of the error, the service name, protocol type and port number the service has on the computer running ProxyWay Extra(ex. service: service1 (HTTP:12345)), error description
Update log - update proxy list logs
Check log - history of all proxies/proxy services checks, including details about
- the date and time of the checking:
(for proxy checking) - the proxy IP address, protocol type and proxy port number(ex. proxy: 11.111.111.111 (HTTP:80))
(for service checking) - service name, protocol type and port number the service has on the computer running ProxyWay Extra (ex. service: service1 (HTTP:1234))
the level of anonymity, the total time of response
Searching logs:
Select Proxy -> Logs.
In Proxy Logs Viewer window, filter the logs you want to review.
Enter text that you want to search for.
Click Search button. The first word(s) in the logs list matching your search criterion will be selected in the list.
Click Search to find the next item in the list matching your search criterion.
