ProxyWay Proxy Finder searches for HTTP proxy lists, HTTPS proxy lists and SOCKS (SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, SOCKS5, SOCKS5 with Authentication) proxies lists on the Internet. Just specify proxy web site URL(s) where proxy lists are located and Proxy Finder will automatically find proxy server information. How to configure AOL Instant Messenger to work through ProxyWay Pro
To set proxy settings in AOL Instant Messenger:
Start up AOL Instant Messenger.
Click on 'Setup' button.
Click 'Connections' button.
In 'Connection preferences' window click on 'Connect using Proxy' box.
In the necessary proxy field(s), set Host=127.0.0.1, port= 81(by default).
Select the protocol type of proxies you will use.
Click 'OK'

Start up AOL Instant Messenger.
Select My AIM -> Edit options -> Edit Preferences.
Select Sign on/off category.
Click 'Connections' button.
In 'Connection preferences' window click on 'Connect using Proxy' box.
In the necessary proxy field(s), set Host=127.0.0.1, port= 81(by default).
Select the protocol type of proxies you will use.

• I've checked a proxy list. Some of proxies support http/https protocol. But in the Service Manager they are only shown as http.
HTTP(HTTPS) in the type column means that this proxy server supports HTTP and HTTPS, but the current supported protocol is HTTP. So you need to change this proxy server type from HTTP to HTTPS by clicking the "Modify" button in the proxy list. If you need to use this proxy server with all supported types (HTTP, HTTPS), you need to add this server to the proxy list twice with different server types.
